About the Author Nico Stehr is Paul-Lazarsfeld Professor at the Universitat Wien, Austria. His research interests center on the transformation of modern societies into knowledge societies, the interrelation between climate and society, the history of the social sciences, and the uses of social and natural science knowledge. Among his recent books are Werner Sombart: Economic Life in the Modern Age (with Reiner Grundmann), published by Transaction, and Knowledge and Economics Conduct.
