He is licensed in Clinical Psychology in the State of Michigan, certified as a Biofeedback Practitioner with the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America. He is a Training Consultant in Clinical Hypnosis, American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.  Dr. Moss is Chair of the College of Mind-Body Medicine, at Saybrook University in San Francisco. He is past-president of Division 30 (hypnosis) of the American Psychological Association, past-president of the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, current treasurer and certification chair for the Society of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis, a SCEH delegate to the International Society for Hypnosis, a Board member of the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance, and an advisory board member for the International Network for Integrative Mental Health.
