Description

This book provides a state-of-the-art review of the applications of electrospun nanofibers for piezoelectric and triboelectric energy harvesting. It comprises eight chapters and covers the basis of electrospinning, nanofibers, piezoelectricity, triboelectricity and the emerging research on the use of nanofibers in energy harvesting devices. It is a key reference for graduate students, researchers and scientists in the fields of energy harvesting, sensors or nanofibers, and it will benefit industry specialists involved with energy materials and energy conversion technology. About the Author Professor Tong Lin received his PhD from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1998. After several years of postdoctoral research in Australia and USA, he joined Deakin University in 2003, where he is now a Professor and an expert in the preparation and applications of functionlised fibrous materials in both textile and non-textile areas. He is also the Associate Director for the Australian Future Fibre Research and Innovation Centre. Prof is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and recipient of the 2016 International Association of Advanced Materials Medal. Dr Jian Fang is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Frontier Materials at Deakin University in Geelong, Australia with an active research interest in advanced textile technology, in particular electro-active fibrous materials for biosensing, water deionization and energy devices.
