He is also a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Carmen and a Freeman of the City of London. Freight transport and logistics operations have become so technically sophisticated that a whole language of generic terms, jargon, abbreviations and managements to say nothing of the legal terms and definitions, has been generated. Vehicle manufacturers now strive to find new terms to describe technical achievements and new products, while legislators give such long titles to new regulations that they have to be identified with acronyms.
