Addressing the thought of six major twentieth-century philosophers-Bertrand Russell, John Rawls, Robert Nozick, Bruce Ackerman, Michael Oakeshott, and Alasdair MacIntyre-Benjamin Barber maintains that each of them has aided in the "conquest of politics" by abstract and speculative philosophy.
