5starcooks Business Intelligence Competency Center A Complete Guide - 2020 Edition

Unlock the hidden value of your data by mastering the Business Intelligence Competency Center. Many organizations invest in analytics tools but lack a disciplined structure to turn insights into consistent performance. Without a clear competency framework, projects stall, governance slips, and ROI evaporates. The book delivers a step-by-step Self-Assessment built around seven criteria - Recognize, Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control, Sustain. Hundreds of targeted questions guide you through each area. You rate every statement on a five-point scale, and the system generates a radar-chart Scorecard that instantly reveals strengths and gaps. Even leaders with limited BI experience can quickly benchmark their organization and prioritize actions. The scoring engine aggregates your responses into a visual radar chart that plots each of the seven criteria on a common scale. The chart highlights outliers, allowing you to focus improvement efforts where they matter most. You can compare multiple departments, track progress over time, and export the data for executive presentations. Included Professional Toolkit (40-48 Practitioner Tools): A fresh, purchase-triggered collection that reflects the latest best practices. The toolkit is divided into ten sections - Getting Started, Assessment and Planning, Models and Frameworks, Processes and Handoffs, Operations and Execution, Performance and KPIs, Quality and Compliance, Sustainment and Support, Advanced Topics, and Reference. It contains more than thirty deliverables in Excel, PDF and markdown formats, all crafted specifically for a Business Intelligence Competency Center. You receive maturity assessments with improvement paths, gap-analysis worksheets, decision-making frameworks with scoring criteria, implementation roadmaps, stakeholder maps, process runbooks, KPI dashboard templates, risk matrices, audit checklists, quick-reference cards and more. Every Excel file includes three sheets - Instructions, Template, and Pro Tips & Common Mistakes - while each PDF adds a Pro Tips section and a quick reference guide. The files are ready to download, customize and deploy. Every purchase guarantees Lifetime Updates. As standards evolve and new analytics techniques emerge, the publisher sends refreshed content and upgraded toolkit files at no additional cost, ensuring your guidance stays current and actionable.
