Description

The diagnosis of bone–marrow disorders by examining sections taken by aspiration or trephine biopsies is essentially a qualitative process requiring the pathologist to identify the abnormal structure and cellularity of bone marrow cells. Until now, the quality of published images in bone–marrow histopathology had been extremely variable––often with the crucial ′message′ obscured by poor photography, poor reproduction, or both.
