"Beginner 2" builds on the "Toy Shop" theme and introduces new characters. This provides continuity of context for children and teachers and is ideal for group teaching and discussion. The step from "Beginner 1" is carefully controlled with children being introduced to only seven new key words (four of which are the new characters' names) in addition to those already learnt in "Beginner 1". This provides essential practice and consolidation before moving on.
