About the Author Cecilia Wassen is Senior Lecturer in New Testament at Uppsala University, Sweden.Tobias Hägerland is Senior Lecturer in Religious Studies and Theology at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. His recent publications include Jesus and the Forgiveness of Sins: An Aspect of His Prophetic Mission (2012) and The Mission of Jesus (co-edited with Samuel Byrskog, 2015). Product Description This book is a reconstruction of the life of Jesus from his birth to his death, with a focus on understanding him in the context of his own time and place. Wassen and Hägerland consider Jesus as an apocalyptic prophetic figure within the context of first-century Judaism.
