Product Description This series of Activity Packs are designed to help students to develop and practise the Key Skills of: application of number, communication and IT at levels 1,2 and 3. Each pack is fully photocopiable and customizable, and offers lots of flexibility for teaching Key Skills. The focus is on providing a wealth of motivating activities for portfolio evidence as well as practice material for assessments. The packs encourage students to gain their Key Skills by exploring a wide range of interesting themes as they work through the activities. Each pack comes with a CD-ROM to allow teachers to customize activities. The activities for portfolio evidence differ in size - from small tasks to substantial activities covering all components of a particular key skill. A wide choice of lively and and engaging themes including entertainment, music, food and drink, careers, green issues, ethical issues and working relationships should hold students interest as they work through the activities and assessment practice. Each pack includes tutor guidance notes and additional resources, as well as mapping and tracking documents. About the Author Gerald Lidstone BA MA ATC FRGS is the founder and director of the postgraduate Arts Administration and Cultural Policy course at Goldsmiths College, University of London. He originally trained as a theatre designer and has designed and toured productions extensively in Eastern Europe and the USA. He is director of the British Council International Seminar on Theatre Management: Building New Audiences, run biannually in the UK. For the Council he has also taught Arts Administration and training courses in many parts of the world including, Russia, Palestine, Korea, Philippines, Slovakia, Bulgaria, India and Belgium He is the director of a three-year British Know-How Fund (Foreign Office) project establishing Arts Management training in Slovakia and is currently undertaking a needs evaluation of Arts Management training in Vietnam for the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture and Information on behalf of Visiting Arts. A founding member of CONCEPTS which provides networks in higher education and theatre across Europe, he is also a council member of the British Centre of the International Theatre Institute. He is a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. Mary Stewart-David MA trained in Stage Management at RADA and for several years worked as a Company and Stage Manager in the West End. She is currently a visiting lecturer at The London School of Economics and Goldsmiths College, where she has recently set up a new course in conjunction with The Vivian Ellis Prize to develop new writing for musical theatre. She is also an award-winning dramatist and lyricist with recent work represented in both the West End and in regional theatre.
