About the Author Charles T. Salmon is professor of communication at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He previously held the Ellis N. Brandt Chair in Public Relations and is Past Dean of the College of Communications at the Michigan State University. Previous positions include the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Emory University; Fulbright Fellow at Tel Aviv University; visiting professor at the Norwegian School of Management and the University of Iowa; visiting scientist at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; and social marketing consultant and trainer for UNICEF in Kazakhstan. His research focuses on the intersection of public information, public health, and public opinion.
