This well-illustrated volume deals with the diagnosis of childhood tumours, chiefly from a pathologist's viewpoint, although it does also consider clinical features, treatment and long-term outcome. While tumours in infants and children have always been recognized as different from those of adults, it has only been in the last two decades that concerted investigation into the distinctive features of these tumours has been undertaken. Written by established authorities, the book covers all recent advances. Details of the classic histologic features of the common and not so common pediatric tumours are given, as are the immunohistochemical features that are important in the differential diagnosis of tumours with similar histologic patterns.
