About the Author Louise Cummings is Professor in the Department of English and Communication at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her research interests within the field of speech-language pathology are pragmatic disorders, and language impairment in neurodegenerative disorders. In 2020, she published the volume Language in Dementia.
