Description
Product Description Metal-Organic Framework Nanocomposites: From Design to Application assembles the latest advances in MOF nanocomposites, emphasizing their design, characterization, manufacturing, and application and offering a wide-ranging view of these materials with exceptional physical and chemical properties. FEATURES Discusses various types of MOF materials, such as polyaniline MOF nanocomposites, magnetic MOF nanocomposites, and carbon nanotube-based MOF nanocomposites Includes chapters on the usage of these materials in pollutant removal, electrochemical devices, photocatalysts, biomedical applications, and other applications Covers different aspects of composite fabrication from energy storage and catalysts, including preparation, design, and characterization techniques Emphasizes the latest technology in the field of manufacturing and design Aimed at researchers, academics, and advanced students in materials science and engineering, this book offers a comprehensive overview and analysis of these extraordinary materials. About the Author Anish Khan is an assistant professor in the Chemistry Department and Centre of Excellence for Advanced Materials Research, Faculty of Science, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In 2010 he earned a PhD at Aligarh Muslim University, India. He has research experience of working in the field of synthetic polymers and organic-inorganic electrically conducting nanocomposites. In 2010–2011 he completed postdoctoral work at the School of Chemical Sciences, University Sains Malaysia (USM) in electroanalytical chemistry. He has written more than 150 research papers, 20 books, and 70 book chapters published by a referred international publisher. He has attended more than 20 international conferences/workshops and completed around 20 research projects. Mohammad Jawaid is a High Flyer Fellow (professor) at the Biocomposite Technology Laboratory, Institute of Tropical Forestry and Forest Products (INTROP), Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia. He is also a visiting professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, College of Engineering, King Saud University, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His areas of research interests include hybrid reinforced/filled polymer composites, advance materials (graphene/nanoclay/fire-retardant), lignocellulosic reinforced/filled polymer composites, modification and treatment of lignocellulosic fibers and solid wood, biopolymers, and biopolymers for packaging applications, nanocomposites and nanocellulose fibers, and polymer blends. He earned a PhD at Universiti Sains Malaysia and has published 34 books, 65 book chapters, more than 300 peer-reviewed international journal papers, and five published review papers under top 25 hot articles in ScienceDirect during 2016–2019. Abdullah Mohammed Ahmed Asiri is a professor in the Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, King Abdulaziz University. He earned a PhD in 1995 at the University of Wales College of Cardiff, UK, on tribochromic compounds and their applications. He is the chairman of the Chemistry Department, King Abdulaziz University, and the director of the Center of Excellence for Advanced Materials Research. He is a highly cited researcher according to Thomson Reuters. He is the director of the Education Affairs Unit, deanship of Community Services. He is a member of the advisory committee for advancing materials for the National Technology Plan, King Abdulaziz City of Science and Technology, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He is interested in color chemistry, synthesis of novel photochromic and thermochromic systems, synthesis of novel colorants and coloration of textiles and plastics, molecular modeling, applications of organic materials into optics (such as OEDS, high-performance organic dyes and pigments), new and novel applications of organic photochromic compounds, organic synthesis of heterocyclic compounds as precursors for dyes, synthesis of polymers functionalized with organic d
