Gestalt Therapy has been developing steadily for the last 50 years in America as well as in Europe. It is currently practiced in different settings: individual, group, and family therapies; personal growth; social, medical and business organizations. This book describes a specific French approach: a synthesis of French culture (greatly inf About the Author Serge Ginger (1928-2011) was a clinical psychologist and an international trainer in psychotherapy. He worked from 1974 to 1980 #8232;as International Chief Expert for UNESCO in the field of Special Education and Psychology. He was qualified in psychodrama, psychoanalysis, gestalt therapy, and EMDR. He was elected Honorary President of the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP). He is the author of a number of books, including 'Gestalt Therapy: The Art of Contact' (Karnac, 2007), which have been translated into twelve languages. In 1980, with Anne Ginger, he founded the Paris School of Gestalt Therapy (Ecole Parisienne de Gestalt or EPG), which is now one of the most important training institutes for psychotherapists in Europe.
