About the Author Edna Acosta-Belén is director of the Center for Latin America and the Caribbean (CELAC) and professor of Latin American and Caribbean Studies and women's studies at the University at Albany, SUNY. Christine E. Bose is associate professor of sociology, Latin American and Caribbean Studies, and women's studies at the University at Albany, SUNY.
