Hodder Education Geography Pathways Yr8 Teacher's Resource CD: Year 8

Geography Pathways is an innovative Key Stage 3 course written for the new CCEA Northern Ireland curriculum. The series aims to provide comprehensive coverage of the Geography requirement of the Environment and Society criteria of the curriculum. A key feature of the course will be the emphasis on the role of skills acquisition and the interconnection of skills across the curriculum as defined by CCEA. The course introduces key geographical skills and concepts with specific reference to Northern Ireland, exploring a range of themes, resources and thinking strategies to meet the statutory requirements of the new curriculum. Features include: · Themed chapters to cover each of the key elements as outlined in the new curriculum. · Clear learning intentions for each chapter to enable a pupil-centred learning experience. · Get Active tasks to promote understanding through thinking and learning strategies using the five skill categories of managing information, decision-making, demonstrating creativity, team work and self-management.
