His research focuses on the positive and negative effects of vibration on humans and structures. Dr. Rahmatalla has authored and coauthored more than 20 peer-reviewed journal articles and participated in many national and international conferences in the area of human response to vibration. His present research interests are: multi-body dynamics, whole body vibration, structural health monitoring, damage detection and human movement. Dr. Rahmatalla is an active member of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in the area of human response to vibration.
