This title is useful for all researchers, academic and students investigating the topic of renewable energy complementarity in systems.</p> About the Author Jakub K. Jurasz holds a PhD in industrial engineering. He is an assistant professor at AGH University (Cracow, Poland) and currently is also a postdoctoral researcher at MDH University (Västerås, Sweden) as a member of Future Energy Center group coordinated by Prof. Jinuye Yan. His PhD thesis (2016) was dedicated to optimal operation of solar-wind-pumped storage systems. Currently he continues his research in area of renewable energy sources. Alexandre Beluco holds a doctorate in engineering in the field of renewable energy, and he is a professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. His doctoral thesis was dedicated to the study of energetic complementarity, being one of the pioneers in addressing this topic. The research work is focused on hybrid energy systems and more recently on hybrid storage systems, looking for the effects of complementarity and also for solutions to local problems, among other topics.
