The 8th edition was the last time that Tharp actively participated in the revision process. David Woodman joined the project in the 8th edition and is now fully responsible for the manuscript revision, though he consults with Dr. Tharp on occasion. David has used this manual in his own lab for over a decade and has a solid grasp of the content, style, and technology in the text, as well as the trends and challenges that face this market.
