He is also an international lawyer. He holds degrees from Harvard, the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, and the Academy of Diplomacy and the Academy of Science, both in Moscow. He is the author of several books, including Ghana: In Search of Stability, 1957-1992 (Praeger, 1992).
