Columbia University Press The Columbia Granger′s Index to Poetry in Collected & Selected Works

Here's the essential index to the world of poetry not covered by earlier editions of "The Columbia Granger's Index to Poetry". For nearly one hundred years, "Granger's" has been the authoritative index to poetry that appears in anthologies - helping to locate poems by author, first line or subject. Now for the first time there's a reference source that indexes the collected and selected works of leading poets - 55,000 poems by 251 poets in 275 volumes. The new "Granger's" provides the most detailed indexing available of classic poets like Shakespeare and Shelley, as well as modern voices like Gary Snyder and Seamus Heaney, Audre Lorde and Adrienne Rich. "Granger's" is the only guide to collected and selected works that is indexed by subject; now you can find citations for poems on a vast array of subjects, from football to freedom to the family. It covers all of Shakespeare's sonnets, all of Pound's cantos, the entire Beatles' songbook, and the works of such poets/songwriters as Patti Smith and Bob Dylan. The massive subject index is the only source of its kind - and an essential search tool. The new "Granger's" is an essential reference work, providing easy, authoritative access to 55,000 poems indexed in no other source. It makes a vital contribution ot the reference collection of schools and of public and college libraries.
