Oxford Reading Tree Assess and Progress delivers powerful reading assessment support for Oxford Reading Tree Stage 1-11 (4-7 year olds) developed by the leading names in reading and educational assessment, OUP and the National Foundation for Educational Research, NFER. Carefully matched to National Curriculum levels, Assessing Pupils' Progress (APP) and Assessment for Learning (AfL), Assess and Progress helps teachers find evidence to support their judgements of children's reading levels and make sure they are making the expected progress for their age. This Teacher's Handbook supports Oxford Reading Tree Stages 3-5 (Book Bands Yellow-Green). It contains easy-to-use Reading Assessments developed by NFER for every Benchmark Book. These help you find the right reading level for each child, gather evidence of their reading achievement, and identify strengths and weaknesses. It also offers advice and practical support on how, when and why to carry out reading assessment in your classroom. With time-saving record sheets linked to curriculum levels and assessment focuses, tracking individual, group and class progress is made easy. It also includes a What Next section, a bank of activity ideas, photocopiable activity templates and reward certificates. Support is also offered for those using with Scotland's Curriculum for Excellence, the Northern Ireland Curriculum and the Revised Curriculum for Wales.
