The Pupil Book supports children through the simple 5-step story writing process demonstrated on the CD-ROM. It contains ideas and advice on creating characters, settings and plots, and the key features of each fiction text type are clearly identified and explained. Interviews with top children's authors motivate children in their creative writing, and further consolidate text type features. The Storywriter Teacher's Guide is a clear, concise guide to getting the most out of Storywriter. It explains how to use the CD and Pupil Book, and includes notes on text type features, classroom use, marking and assessment for learning. Its great strength is that it combines some easy-to-use, ready-prepared materials with the capacity to edit and build up one's own resources.
