Surface modification of nanomaterials is the engineering and design of new materials that have unique properties that surpass the performance of current materials.</p> <p><i>Surface Modified Nanomaterials for Applications in Catalysis</i> provides an overview of the different state-of-the-art surface modification methods of nanomaterials and their commercial applications. Gawande received his Ph.D. in 2008 from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, India and then undertook several research stints in Germany, South Korea, Portugal, Czech Republic, USA, and UK. He also worked as a Visiting Professor at CBC-SPMS, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2013. Presently, he is Associate Professor at the Institute of Chemical Technology-Mumbai Marathwada Campus, Jalna, India. His research interests focus on SACs, advanced nanomaterials, sustainable technologies, and cutting-edge catalysis and energy applications. Currently, he is supervising several doctoral students and postdoctoral co-workers. He has published over 130 international scientific papers. Chaudhery Mustansar Hussain, PhD is an Adjunct Professor, academic advisor, and lab director in the Department of Chemistry and Environmental Sciences, at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, USA. His research is focused on the application of nanotechnology and advanced materials, in the environment, analytical chemistry, and various industries. Dr Hussain is the author of numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals as well as being a prolific author and editor of around 50 scientific monographs and books in his research areas. Yusuke Yamauchi received his Bachelor degree (2003), Master degree (2004), and Ph.D. (2007) from the Waseda University, Japan. After receiving his Ph.D., he joined the National Institute of Materials Science (NIMS), Japan, to start his own research group.
