Nanomaterials for Soil Remediation provides a comprehensive description on basic knowledge and current research progress in the field of soil treatment using nanomaterials. Soil pollution refers to the presence of toxic chemicals in soil. Compared with air and water remediations, soil remediation is technically more challenging due to its complex composition. The synergy between engineering and nanotechnology has resulted in rapid developments in soil remediation. Nanomaterials could offer new routes to address challenging and pressing issues facing soil pollution. His research area of interest is fermentation and biological treatment processes, optimisation, modelization, environmental bioengineering, fungal physiology, gas treatment, and wastewater treatment. Dinesh Mohan is a full Professor at the School of Environmental Sciences at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. He is also an adjunct Professor at the Chemistry Department, Mississippi State University, United States, and at the International Centre for Applied Climate Science, University of Southern Queensland, Australia. His research interest includes climate change mitigation, carbon sequestration, water and wastewater monitoring, assessment, modeling, and remediation using physicochemical treatment methods. Tuan Anh Nguyen is a Principal Research Scientist, at the Institute for Tropical Technology, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, Hanoi, Vietnam. His current research focuses on advanced nanomaterials, and nanotechnology for corrosion and materials integrity in transportation systems. Tuan Anh Nguyen received his BSc in Physics from Hanoi University in 1992, and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Paris Diderot University (France) in 2003. He was a Visiting Scientist at Seoul National University (South Korea, 2004) and University of Wollongong (Australia, 2005). He then worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Research Scientist in the Montana State University (USA), 2006-2009. His research interests include smart coatings, conducting polymers, corrosion and protection of metals/concrete, antibacterial materials, and advanced nanomaterials. Aymen Amine Assadi is Associate Professor in the the ENSCR – Laboratory UMR CNRS 6226 Institut des Sciences Chimiques de Rennes, France. His area of interest is in chemical and environmental engineering, including water gas treatment, coupling of process, adsorption and isotherms on activated carbon, modeling and simulations for water/air treatment with POA, aerodynamics and mass and heat transfer and chemical reactions. Dr. Ghulam Yasin is a Senior Research Fellow and Faculty Member at the Institute for Advanced Study, College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, Shenzhen University, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. Dr. Yasin received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology in 2020. He previously worked as Research Assistant at the Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2020. Dr. Yasin has over 85 publications in well-reputed peer-reviewed international journals, has authored several book chapters, and has worked as co-editor of of 12 books. He is currently a regular reviewer for over 40 journals, and serves as Associate Editor, Section Editor, and editorial board member for several journals.
