Professor Ray Chaudhuri also sits on the Nervous Systems Committee of the UK Department of Health, National Institute of Health Research, and serves as a member of the Scientific Programme Committee of the International Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders Society. In addition, he serves as a member of clinical advisory groups to Parkinson’s UK and the European Parkinson’s Disease Association. Having published over 350 papers and co-edited 4 books on PD and restless legs syndrome, Professor Ray Chaudhuri currently serves on the editorial board of numerous international journals including Basal Ganglia, the Journal of Parkinson’s Disease and is the editor in chief of the newly launched Nature Parkinson’s Journal. Professor K Ray Chaudhuri has particular expertise in non-motor aspects of PD focused on subtyping, sleep and pain. Ms Miriam Parry is a Senior Parkinson’s Disease Nurse Specialist (PDNS) at The Parkinson’s Foundation Centre of Excellence, King’s College Hospital, London. She trained at Guy’s Hospital, London and qualified in 1992. Ms Parry has many additional qualifications specific to Parkinson’s Disease (PD). Ms Parry is a member of the Movement Disorders research team at King’s College London. Her research interests are the non-motor aspects of Parkinson’s disease. She represents the PDNS at the Non motor Parkinson disease study group (NM-PD-SG) at the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society (IPMDS). Ms Parry participates in teaching programmes both nationally and internationally including; The King’s Apomorphine and Duodopa Masterclasses, Parkinson’s UK and MDS courses. Ms Parry is a member of the CRISP – Community for Research Involvement and Support for people with Parkinson’s – held at King’s College Hospital. Cristian Falup-Pecurariu is Head of the Department of Neurology, County Clinic Hospital from Brasov, and is Associate Professor of Neurology at the Faculty of Medicine, Transilvania University from Brasov, Romania. He received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Iuliu Hatieganu from Cluj-Napoca. He hold a 1 year fellowship of the European Neurological Society in movement disorders and sleep medicine at Hospital Clinic, University of Barcelona, Spain. During his career Cristian Falup-Pecurariu was President of the European Association of Young Neurologists and Trainees (EAYNT), EAYNT Liasion Officer with World Federation of Neurological Society, co-representative of Europe on the International Working Group for Young Neurologists and Trainees (World Federation of Neurology).
