In addition to continuing his venture as an author, he has been a professor for over 40 years and a physician for 48 years. He is a retired professor with the Eastern Florida State College Science & Health Department. Previously, Dr. Moini was an assistant professor at Tehran University Medical School, Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine. For 18 years, he was the Director of Epidemiology for the Brevard County Health Department. He was also Director of Allied Health at Everest University for 15 years and a Professor at that institution for 24 years. Dr. Katherine Pereira is a Professor at the Duke University School of Nursing in Durham, North Carolina. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 16 years of clinical experience working with patients with complex endocrine disorders. Dr. Pereira received her BSN from the University of Virginia and her MSN and Doctor of Nursing Practice Degrees from Duke University. In recognition of her contributions to nursing and outstanding patient care, she has been named as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and the American Association for Nurse Practitioners. Dr. Mohtashem Samsam is a former Professor of Medicine and a faculty at the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences and College of Medicine at the University of Central Florida. He is currently the director and also a professor at Advent Health University in Orlando, Florida. Dr. Samsam studied medicine in the English language program of Albert Szent-Gyorgyi Medical University, in Szeged, Hungary (1991- 1996) and received his PhD from Department of Cell Biology and Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Salamanca, Spain, in 2002. He completed his post-doc studies in Wuerzburg University, Germany (1999- 2002).
