Description
Product Description Plant Life under Changing Environment: Responses and Management presents the latest insights on how to analyze and manage the changing environmental conditions of plants. This two volume set compiles current knowledge on responses, tolerance and the management of changing environmental conditions for plant productivity. Further, this is the first such resource to explore emerging strategies useful for managing plant productivity in changing environments. Volume One covers Responses and Tolerance, while Volume Two covers Management and Sustainability. Researchers and advanced students in the environmental sciences, plant ecophysiology, biochemistry and molecular biology, nano-pollution climate change and soil pollution will find this an important resource. Covers both responses and adaptation of plants to altered environmental states Illustrates the current impact of climate change on plant productivity, along with mitigation strategies Includes transcriptomic, proteomic, metabolomic and ionomic approaches Review Contains systematic insights that ensure optimal plant health under changing environments About the Author Vijay Pratap Singh is working as an Assistant Professor, Department of Botany in Govt. Ramanuj Pratap Singhdev Post Graduate College, Baikunthpur, Koriya, an affiliated degree college of Sarguja University, Chhattisgarh, India. Dr. Singh has obtained his D.Phil. degree from University of Allahabad on topic “Oxidative stress and antioxidant system in some cyanobacteria simultaneously exposed to UV-B and heavy metal. He has authored 70 publications as well as editorials in reputed journals. His area of research interest is role of nitric oxide and hydrogen sulfide signaling in the regulation of abiotic stress in plants. Dr. Singh is also working as editor and reviewer of several reputed international journals. Devendra Kumar Chauhan is working as a Professor in Department of Botany, University of Allahabad. Professor Chauhan has authored 100 scientific publications. His research interest is role of Si nutrition in management of abiotic stress in plants. Professor Chauhan is also working as editor and reviewer of several reputed international journals Sheo Mohan Prasad is working as a Professor in Department of Botany, University of Allahabad having obtained his academic degrees from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. Professor Prasad has authored 150 scientific publications. His main area of research is physiology and biochemistry of plants as well as cyanobacteria under abiotic stresses i.e. UV-B, heavy metals, pesticides, temperature, salinity, high light, etc with special reference to abiotic stress management.
