He was an instructor, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology and Biology of Diseases, Kyoto University Graduate School of Medicine, and since 2008 is Professor in the Department of Pathology and Biological Responses, Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine.
