About the Author Mark A. Suckow, DVM, DACLAM, is the Director for Research Animal Resources and Professor of Veterinary Population Medicine at the University of Minnesota. He is on the council on Accreditation at the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International. Dr. Suckow has 25 years of experience with IACUC organization and regulatory compliance, laboratory animal medicine, research with a variety of animal models, and animal facility design and management.
