About the Author Dr. Masoud Mozafari received his PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering-Biomaterials from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), in 2013. He then joined Oklahoma State University and Pennsylvania State University as a senior research associate and research visiting scholar, respectively. His research interests include the role of composite scaffolds for tissue engineering applications with respect to biological interactions. He is known for the development of strategies for the treatment of damaged tissues/organs and controlling biological substances for targeted delivery into the human body. He is currently an assistant professor and director of the “Bioengineering Research Group in Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Department, Materials and Energy Research Center (MERC). He is also an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Tissue Engineering & Regenerative Medicine, Faculty of Advanced Technologies in Medicine, and Cellular
