Review Reviewed by Gudrun Held (University of Salzburg) for the Journal of Historical Pragmatics Maj-Britt Mosegaard Hansen - presents a volume that, in my opinion, surpasses and deepens all the work done so far in this area (p1). Hansen's book is an admirable study which proves a high level of linguistic know-how, a good critical handling of the referred literature, a comprehensible elaboration of the notions, a convincing argumentation structure and a clear description style (p3).
