Through the collaboration of these three leading industry figures, Vilafonté (which was founded in 1996) became the first American and South African joint wine-making venture.

These days, Vilafonte is considered one of the most pioneering wineries in South Africa.

Seriously Old Dirt is a wine named after our ancient vilafontes soils in which our vines have been growing for almost two decades.

Matured for eighteen months in older French oak barrique. Seriously Old Dirt consists of Cabernet Sauvignon (86%), Malbec (6%), Merlot (5%) and Cabernet Franc (3%).
