Product Description

"A limited release, launched to celebrate the opening of the Dublin Liberties Distillery in 2019, our 16 year-old single malt is matured in bourbon casks and finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. In the 1600's under Christchurch cathedral, there were a series of crypts used as illicit drinking dens. The Cellar Keepers each had their own coins and casks - which is where the name Keeper's Coin derives from. Very recently, excavations under Christchurch Cathedral have unearthed a purse full of silver coins and a number of leather bottles still containing alcohol."

This 16 year-old triple distilled single malt Irish Whiskey is full of fudge and soft toffee aromas, toasted hazelnuts and baked banana with sea salt caramel.

On the palate poached pear, warm treacle tart & big fruity note of dried apricots dominate. 16 years in American oak casks bestow a substantial wood influence giving a salted butter mouth-feel.

The dark auburn hue is imparted by Pedro Ximénez sherry butts in which the whiskey finally rests. The finish is smooth & round with honeyed sweetness.

70 cl bottle, 46% ABV - please drink responsibly

Keeper's Coin is best enjoyed straight up with just a drop of water to release its aromas.
