Master's Thesis from the year 2002 in the subject Interpreting / Translating , grade: 110/110 cum laude, University of Bologna (Fakultät für moderne Sprachen für Dolmetscher und Übersetzer (SSLMIT, Forlì)), course: Übersetzung aus dem Deutschen ins Italienische, language: Italian, abstract: In der vorliegenden Arbeit beschäftige ich mich mit der Analyse und (partialen) Übersetzung des 1995 erschienenen Romans "NOX" von Thomas Hettche. Durch die metaphorische Schilderung der leeren Exzessivität eines sich dekomponierenden Gesellschaftskörpers, der von Berlin im Jahre 1989, greift Hettche das strittige Thema der deutschen Wiedervereinigung und nimmt eine bemerkenswerte, wenn auch implizite, Stellungnahme dazu. Im 1. Kapitel werden die bio-bibliographischen Angaben zum Autor umfassend dargestellt und somit der Zusammenhang von Leben und Werk enthüllt. Daran anschließend werden die relevantesten und originellsten Aspekte der Autorenpoetik vorgestellt, darunter die für seine literarische Produktion kennzeichnenden Themen und deren Beziehung zum umgebenden Literaturbetrieb und sozio-kulturellen Wandel. Das Verhältnis zur von Politik, Medien und Kultur angelegten Dynamik, das einen wichtigen Bestandteil seines literarischen Schaffens bildet, wird auch anhand von in Interviews geäußerten Aussagen Hettches betrachtet. Das 2. Kapitel ist einer ausführlichen Textanalyse und -interpretation gewidmet. Zentral ist dabei die tiefgehende Erwägung der Rolle der im Roman durchlaufenden Metapher der „Grenz-Wunde" und der unterschiedlichen Formen und Bedeutungen, die sie zwischen Romanhandlung und mythischer Handlung annimmt: Kernbegriffe sind dabei Identität, Körper, Bewusstsein, Vergessenheit. Bei der Textanalyse werden die für NOX typischen inner- und intertextuellen Merkmale berücksichtigt, darunter die Einzigartigkeit der Interpunktion, insbesondere die stark verfremdend wirkende Verwendung des Punktes, der die Vollständigkeit des Satzes zerstört, und - auf der semantisch-
